Congratulations to two of our faculty for winning prestigious National Awards from the American Chemical Society! Prof. Jim Mayer has won the 2018 ACS Award in Inorganic Chemistry for his groundbreaking research, which has a special focus on the coupling of proton and electron transfer in catalysis, energy transduction and biological systems. Prof. Seth Herzon has won the 2018 Elias J. Corey Award for Outstanding Original Contribution in Organic Synthesis by a Young Investigator for his trailblazing syntheses of biologically active natural molecules including pleuromutilins, precolibactins, batzelladine B, huperzine A and lomaiviticin.

Funding Opportunities


CT NASA Space Grant Consortium Fall 2017: The deadline for submitting proposals for student grants is Monday, September 11, 2017 (at 11:00am). The Space Grant Consortium encourages all undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty conducting NASA-related research to apply. For more information, click here. If you intend to submit a proposal for any of the grants, you must contact the person from FRMS in advance of the proposal deadline. See the below attachment for details.
