The main office will be closed for Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, 2017 and will reopen on Tuesday.

The summer hours in the main office are 8:30am-4:30pm.

With the impending Workday implementation, the University is requiring us to process all financial transactions daily. High level administrators are reviewing all outstanding financial transactions daily and emailing the departments to complete the transactions. Please cooperate with staff in getting these issues resolved. Update: thanks to all your hard work, the university cleared over 4000 charges in the last two weeks.

The Flipped Science Fair (10/14/17) flips the traditional science fair format on its head: middle school student judges will evaluate graduate students and postdocs presenting their current research in a science fair setting. Audition to be a presenter from May 11th-June 8th by signing up here.

The project encompasses the construction of a new state of the art sciences laboratory at the approximate location of the demolished J.W. Gibbs building, a comprehensive renovation of the KBT Plaza, a lecture hall, and a common area at the south end of KBT Plaza.

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Texas at Austin is currently recruiting for two non-tenure track faculty positions: General Chemistry Teaching Lab Coordinator and Analytical Chemistry Lecturer.

The University of Virginia, Department of Chemistry, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the group of Professor W. Dean Harman. The field of study will be development of novel synthetic organic methods using Mo and W transition metal complexes. The research will require experience in anaerobic synthetic techniques, various NMR characterization methods, and electrochemical experiments. Candidates are required to have experience in organometallic chemistry and organic synthesis. Knowledge and proficiency in mechanistic studies as well as experience with dearomatization methods are preferred. The Caravan research group at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School is seeking a full time bioanalytical research technician. Responsibilities include: operation and routine maintenance of laboratory instruments (ICP, HPLC, LC-MS, NMR), and execution and interpretation of bioanalytical and biochemical assays. A Bachelor's degree is required and some experience with analytical instruments is desired.
